Eddi Reader releases "Best of" March 11, 2016

The Best of Eddi Reader is the first career spanning compilation by the supremely talented, unique and charismatic Scottish singer. A new double album that collects thirty of her most consistently beautiful, often deeply personal and intimate songs.

Featuring material from across Eddi's prestigious 30 year recording career,The Best of includes the charming acoustic pop of 1988 chart topper Perfect (with Fairground Attraction), right up to her remarkable 2015 versions of the standard Moon River and Amy Winehouse's Love Is A Losing Game.

Everlasting favourites are in abundance including her 1992 recording of the Fred Neil song Dolphins and 2003's Wild Mountainside (the poetic ballad written and given to Eddi by partner and songwriter John Douglas, included on the classic Songs of Robert Burns album).

The Best of Eddi Reader gives us a generous insight into her wide ranging artistry and songwriting, time and again showcasing her knack for picking a great song and then making it her own. "Every time I record I rarely listen again, so when I do hear something I've done I get surprised and my mind hasn't time to pick it apart- when I listened through to this collection I found myself reconnecting with every chord, melodic shift, percussion push and vocal thread.
