Album Notes
For the past ten years or so, the Mahlstedt Family has been delighting audiences with their Bluegrass renditions of songs old and new, tight harmonies, and ever improving picking.

The Mahlstedt Family has its roots in Cokato, Minnesota, where both Dean and Lorna grew up. When they were expecting their oldest, they bought six acres in the country, where they raised and schooled all nine of their kids. They also purchased a Cleaning and Restoration Company, which their children helped out in as they got old enough.
In 2006, they brought home a couple of fiddles, and the oldest four started taking Classical Violin lessons not long after. A few years later, the kids started picking up different instruments, learned to sing harmony, and began playing Bluegrass/Gospel music. From the beginning even until now, they love encouraging others by performing uplifting, Gospel-centered music whenever they get the opportunity.
