On his sixth album, Less Is More, folk-rooted singer/songwriter Gordie Tentrees demonstrates why he is now in international demand as a performer. His original compositions have a poetic ring of truth, and his life experiences as a boxer and youth worker have brought him real empathy. Catherine MacLellan adds lovely harmony vocals to "Lost Guitar" and "Love In Ink", while JUNO-winning producer Bob Hamilton also shines on a range of stringed instruments. Tentrees shows taste in choosing a song by Mary Gauthier ("Camelot Hotel") as the sole cover here.
On May 26 Less Is More will be released worldwide on
Continental Records (Netherlands). The hard-touring troubadour has just
played shows in Western Canada and is planning dates in North America,
Europe and Australia in the months ahead.
