Spilled Whiskey originals are mostly influenced by a conglomeration of country and blues artists. While the music may be more country the lyrics are definitely laced with blues roots. The songs written by Nick Hinshaw tend to have a more southern rock/blues feel while the songs written by Steve Hunt cannot be mistaken for anything but country. Mike Johnston and Steven Maywald round out the players on this album. The foursome have been playing together for about two years and have become friends more than band mates. We’re basically three old guys and a young ‘un, but we thought that wouldn’t be a very good name for a band. So Spilled Whiskey stuck. Playing just about anywhere we can in central Texas well, because we love to play!
