–A note about the song–
Most of us have a story of a relationship that didn’t work out in the end, no matter how hard we tried. This is a long distance love story, a true story, and if the original version conveyed the numb feeling of passing streetlights on a night drive along the West Coast, this stripped down version is a lonely piano player in an old New York City church at wintertime.
